We are excited that you are considering joining the great tradition of athletics at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. UNCP provides an opportunity for athletes to grow both mentally and physically. The Braves are affiliated with NCAA Division II and, most of their athletic teams, are associated with the Peach Belt Conference. The UNCP football, track & field and wrestling programs currently do not have any conference affiliation.

This portion of the website has been designed to educate prospective student-athletes, and their families and coaches about NCAA recruiting and eligibility rules. Here you will find information regarding recruiting, amateurism, and academic eligibility. Please note that the information provided is not all-inclusive. Full descriptions of regulations and rules regarding NCAA policies can be found in the NCAA Division II manual.

HOW DO I GET RECRUITED?
It is a question asked all too often by both student-athletes, as well as their parents and coaches. Many answers can be given but, if you are looking for a specific step-by-step guide to getting the process started, Active.com has a phenomenal guide to enhancing your chances of being noticed in their RECRUITING 101 DATABASE. The information there is not completely all-inclusive, but it will give you a good guide to follow and answer a lot of your questions about the recruiting process.

RECRUIT QUESTIONNAIRE
First things first, if you are interested in becoming a Brave, make sure we know about you. Click on the sport you are interested in and fill out the prospective student-athlete form. The form will be received by a coach in that sport. You may also want to visit the athletic department directory page for contact information.
