UNCP Posters, Rally Towels To Be Available Saturday

PEMBROKE, N.C. – The UNCP Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has announced that UNCP Athletics posters and Go Braves rally towels will be available during Saturday’s homecoming festivities in the English E. Jones Center.

The poster, which features photos of UNCP student-athletes on postage stamps with the slogan ‘Delivering Champions’ can be obtained for a $10 donation. The rally towels, which have been affixed with the UNCP logo, as well as the UNCPBraves.com logo, can be obtained for a $3 donation. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The UNCP women’s basketball team, winners of five-straight outings, will kick off a Saturday afternoon college basketball doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern at 2 p.m., with the UNCP men set to take on the visiting Hurricanes immediately following.

The UNCP baseball team will also open up their 2007 campaign at home this weekend with a three-game set against Mars Hill. First pitch of Saturday’s series-opening doubleheader has been set for 1 p.m. at Sammy Cox Field, with Sunday’s finale also slated with a 1 p.m. start time.
