UNCP To Host Faculty Appreciation Night

PEMBROKE – A total of 25 professors will be recognized for their dedication and hard work in a special ceremony in the midst of UNCP’s basketball doubleheader with Augusta State on Monday evening as the Braves celebrate “Faculty Appreciation Night” in the English E. Jones Center.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) polled each of UNCP’s more than 400 student-athletes and asked each one to vote for professors who they believed have given them the most positive experience in the classroom. Along with recognizing the top 25 vote getters, SAAC will also acknowledge the hard work of those professors involved in UNCP’s Faculty Associates Program as well.

The ceremony is set to take place prior to the 7:30 p.m. tip off between the Braves and Augusta State men’s basketball squads. Each faculty member and faculty associate will receive a reserved seat for the game, as well as a t-shirt and certificate.
