UNCPBraves.com recently had the chance to sit down with senior All-American closing pitcher Braxton Lewis to learn of his opinion on a variety of topics ranging from the team he would add to the schedule to how he wants to be remembered when he leaves Pembroke. A member of the preseason all-Conference squad, Lewis has posted a 0-1 record and a 4.50 ERA this season to complement eight saves. The Seven Springs native has struck out 19 batters and walked just five in 16 innings of work, while limiting opponents to just a .254 batting average.
A first team all-Peach Belt Conference selection, Peach Belt Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player and Tino Martinez Award (Division II Player of the Year) semifinalist, as a junior last season, Lewis has made 51 appearances during his career in the Black and Gold and has compiled a 7-3 record.

Song You Must Listen To Before A Game To Get "Pumped Up": There is no song in particular. I like anything rock or anything by Avenged Sevenfold.
Any Significance To The Number On Your Jersey?: Not at all. I have been #25 my whole life but when I got here I was given #26.
Oddest Talent: I can remember any person's birthday after only telling me one time. Years later if I am asked I will still remember the date.
Best Thing About Your Coaches: They are all a bunch of comedians but serious at the same time.
My Heroes: That would definitely be my Grandpa. I've always looked up to him since I was a little kid.
In 10 Years, I Will Be: Hopefully working a great job, with a wife and kids.
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Cookies and cream.
Biggest Pet Peeve: Having people who say they will do something, and then they never do it.
One Thing I Would Need Most On A Deserted Island: I know it sounds bad, but I really couldn't be on a deserted island without my guns. I love to target shoot.
What I Love Most About UNCP?: All the wonderful locals.
I Came To UNCP Because: It was the next closest school to my house that had my major when I was ready to transfer from my other college.
My Advice To Youngsters Would Be: My advice would be to always go after what you want. If you have a dream to play a certain sport, then work every single day to be the best you can be.
What Is One Thing You Want To Happen Before You Leave UNCP?: I would love to win the PBC Conference Tournament again.
How Do You Want People At UNCP To Remember You?: I just want people to remember me as a nice guy who enjoyed playing baseball.
