Braves Climb To No. 15 In D2Football.com Top 25 Poll

LIBERTY, Mo. – UNCP continued its ascent in the national spotlight on Tuesday morning as the Braves made a four-spot jump in a national poll for the second consecutive day, this time checking in at No. 15 in the latest D2Football.com Top 25 poll, the organization announced.

The Braves (2-0) joined five other NCAA Super Region 2 squads in the listing, with North Alabama attaining the loftiest ranking at No. 3. Other region teams listed in the poll include 12th-ranked Tuskegee, No. 13 West Alabama, No. 17 Valdosta State and 20th-ranked Tusculum. Grand Valley State held on to the top spot in the listing for the second-straight week, with No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth, No. 4 Abilene Christian and No. 5 Texas A&M Kingsville rounding out the top five.

The Braves will be back in action again on Saturday when they close out a short two-game road swing at Wingate (1-1). Kickoff has been set for 1:30 p.m. at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field.
