AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2010): Played in two games for UNCP … Threw for 217 yards on 19-of-36 passing with four interceptions … Also carried the ball twice for positive yardage (1 yard) … Threw for two yards on 1-of-3 passing in his collegiate debut against Concord … Came off the bench to throw for 215 yards on 18-of-33 passing with four interceptions against North Greenville.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Redshirted. Did not see varsity action.
HIGH SCHOOL: A record-setting quarterback at Murphy High School for coach David Gentry … Accounted for 2,700 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions as a prep senior in leading the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record and their second consecutive conference title … Earned first team all-state, all-Western Carolina, all-conference and conference back of the year, while also taking home team honors for best back and most valuable player … Threw for more than 1,500 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior en route to the first of two-straight all-conference honors … Was also a two-time all-conference standout in both basketball and baseball for the Bulldogs as well.
