HIGH SCHOOL: A standout punter at Eastern Randolph High School for coach Berton Cates … Averaged 45.3 yards per punt as a prep senior, including a season-best 73-yard kick … Pinned opponents inside the 10-yard line on 10 occasions … Named team most valuable player at season’s end … Averaged 37.2 yards per punt as a junior, including a 65-yard boot … Was also an all-conference tennis player for the Wildcats.

PERSONAL: The son of Candace and Darrell Stanley was born on May 22, 1991 … Has an older brother, Chad, and a younger sister, Angel … Brother is a former rugby player on the club team at N.C.
