Braves Finish Round One Of Season Opener

CLINTON, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke Men’s golf team opened the 2007 Spring season today at the 14th annual Presbyterian College Intercollegiate being held at the Musgrove Mill Golf Course (6,384 yards, par 72) in Clinton.

This year’s tournament includes 16 squads including Peach Belt rivals Lander and USC Upstate as well as defending three-time NCAA Division II champion USC Aiken.

Chris Evans paced the Braves today as he finished the first round with a 78. Andy Case finished one-stroke back of Evans with a 79 and Chris Helms finished four back with an 82. Andrew Wood posted an 89 and Matt Page carded a 91 to round out UNCP’s day.
