Braves Finish 14th At Bobcat Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – UNC Pembroke finished the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College & State shooting a combined 917 for 14th place as the Braves completed three rounds at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla, a par-70, 6,847 yard course.

Travis Marshall shot a 222 (79, 70, 73) to finish tied for 22nd at the three-day event. Matthew Morrison tied for 26th shooting a 224 (76, 74, 74) to crack to the top-30. Matt Page finished tied for 65th with a combined 236 (76, 81, 79), Chris Evans placed 77th carding a 243 (85, 75, 83) and Andy Case posted a 247 (89, 73, 85) to finish 82nd.

North Alabama took home the team title posting a combined 855 at the tournament. USC Aiken finished second with an 880 and Florida Southern finished third posting an 882.

UNA’s Daniel Creel won medalist honors carding rounds of 66, 67, and 71 to lead all competitors. The Lions’ Wes Smith (69, 73, 71) and the Pacers’ Roberto Diaz (70, 72, 71) finished tied for second as both finished with a score of 213.

UNCP will next be in action when they host the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate in White Lake, N.C. this weekend.
