UNC Pembroke sophomore Matt Morrison carded an 86 on the final day of the NCAA II Men’s Golf Southeast Regional on Wednesday to finish 37th, totaling a 251 over three rounds at the Savannah Quarters Country Club.

UNC Pembroke finished out the 16th annual Peach Belt Conference Golf Championship at the par-72, 7,022 yard Harbor Club in Greensboro, Ga. in eighth place after posting team rounds of 335, 321 and 314 totaling a 970 over the course of the three-round tournament.

The event came to a close on Sunday afternoon with Pembroke’s Matt Morrison placing second for UNCP with a 141 (69, 72) at the par-72, 6,925 Carolina Sand Golf Club.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke golf team shot a three round total of 902 to place 13th at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational, which was hosted by Columbus State at the Country Club of Columbus. Chris Helms, who was the top UNCP individual, finished in a tie for 31st with a three-day score of 222, seven-over par.
