Hanson Nabs PBC Goalkeeper Of The Week For Second-Straight Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. – After playing a key role in grabbing a key Peach Belt Conference result for the men's soccer team on Saturday in Montevallo, Ala., sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Hanson has earned his second-straight PBC Goalkeeper of the Week award, the league office announced Tuesday.
Hanson recorded 110 minutes between the pipes against Montevallo, allowing only one goal on 17 shots and making four saves in the 1-1 stalemate.
He is currently ranked second in the PBC in goals against average (0.91), goals against (10) and save percentage (.787). He has a 6-3-2 record in the 985 minutes he has spent in goal this season.
The Black and Gold will compete in a conference matchup against Francis Marion on Wednesday at FMU Soccer Complex in Florence, S.C., and is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
