20 Questions With Men Soccer’s Stuart Rodgers

UNCPBraves.com sat down with senior defender Stuart Rodgers to learn of his opinion on a variety of topics ranging from his idea of perfect happiness to how he wants to be remembered when he leaves Pembroke. The following 20 questions are a part of a continuing feature at your official Internet home for UNCP athletics.

Rodgers, an England native, played and started in all 18 games for the Braves last season and totaled a team-best 1,700 minutes on the field as well as captaining the team.  He scored six points on three goals, which included the game-winning score in a 2-1 victory over Mount Olive. He registered 11 shots, five of which were on goal (.455), and scored his first goal of the season against Clayton State as well. He added his final goal of the season against Lander in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. 

This season, Rodgers has maintained the position of captain and has played and started in all 15 games to total more than 1,300 minutes on the field. He has posted two goals, including the game-winning goal against Georgia Southwestern, and scored his second goal of the season in the 5-0 shutout victory over Barton. Rodgers has been an integral part of a UNCP defense that has only allowed opponents to score 13 goals.
