Eubanks Logs Two Top-10 Finishes At UNC Invite
CHAPEL HILL – The UNCP Braves' track and field squad traveled to the campus of the University of North Carolina on Friday afternoon to compete in the UNC/Gene Anderson Invitational. The invite marked UNC's last home meet of the 2010 indoor season.
UNCP's top finisher on the men's side was Maurice Eubanks who registered a fourth place finish for the Black and Gold after posting a 22.20 200m dash. Eubanks also finished seventh in the 60m dash finals (6.94) after taking 10th in preliminaries (6.98).
Karlos Jordan followed Eubanks, finishing 13th in the 200m dash in 22.80 and placed 11th in the final heat of the 60m dash with a 6.97 after posting a 7.04 in preliminaries.
Rounding out the top three finishers for the Braves was David Lynn who had a toss of 11.63m in the weight throw to place 20th. Lynn also competed in the shot put, placing 21st with a toss of 11.89m.
The track and field teams will return to action next Sunday, February 21 when they travel to South Carolina to participate in the Clemson/Tiger Invitational.
