Ndhlovu, UNCP In Third After Day One Of UNCW Seahawk Invitational
WILMINGTON – Sophomore Pardon Ndhlovu grabbed a first place finish in the 5000m run to help the UNCP men's track team to log 19 points and a third place standing after day one of the UNC Wilmington-hosted Seahawk Invitational on Friday evening.
Ndhlovu crossed the finish line with a time of 14:57.26, while freshman Chris Schroll finished fifth, running 17 seconds behind Ndhlovu with a time of 15:14.74. In the field events, AJ Davis Jr. posted a throw of 41.89m to place seventh in the hammer throw while Darrell Greene finished 10th with a throw of 37.37m. Darryle Davis registered a jump of 6.35m for an 11th place finish in the long jump.
The men's track and field team will continue competition at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
