Braves Wrap Up Competition At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH – The UNCP men's track and field team saw three athletes notch top-15 finishes as they participated in the final day of competition at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Saturday.

Shaquille Ray qualified for the finals of the 100m dash on Friday and finished 14th in the race on Saturday with a time of 11.10 seconds. Ray placed 11th in the 200m dash with a time of 22.23 seconds, while Jon Williams finished 12th with a time of 22.30 seconds.

AJ Davis Jr. grabbed an 11th place finish in the hammer throw for a season best mark in the event. 

On Friday, for the first time competing in the 10,000m run, junior Pardon Ndhlovu provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships with a third place finish after crossing the finish line with a time of 30:17.12.

The Braves we return to competition on Saturday at the Wofford College Terrier Relays.
