PEMBROKE – UNCP head softball coach Lacinda Melanson has named former Nova Southeastern and Armstrong Atlantic standout Adrian Tuttle assistant coach for the UNCP program with Tuttle serving as pitching instructor to the Braves’ staff.
“I am extremely excited to bring Adrian on board,” said Melanson. “She was a top pitcher at two different quality programs and brings with her great experience from the mound. I’m confident she will be a good leader for the girls both on and off the field.”
Tuttle spent the 2009 season as the pitching coach for the Florida Tech Panthers of the Sunshine State Conference. This past season, the Panthers staff recorded a team earned run average of 2.66 while amassing 302 strikeouts on the year.
