Melanson Announces Open Tryouts

PEMBROKE – The 2008 Peach Belt Conference champion UNCP softball team will hold open tryouts for the upcoming season slated with a general interest meeting set for Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the English E. Jones Center in room 1204 at 3 p.m. in the office of Braves’ head coach Lacinda Melanson

In order to participate, a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours for the fall semester at UNCP. Please bring proof of insurance as well as proof of a physical within the past six months. All other necessary forms and waivers will be filled out at the meeting on Aug. 19.

Tryouts will be held on Aug. 21 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at LRA Softball Field. Anyone interested in this opportunity should call (910) 521-6308 or e-mail coach Melanson at Lacinda.Melanson@uncp.edu.
