Three Named To All-Academic Team
The Peach Belt Conference released the womens soccer All-Academic team from the conference office in Augusta. Honors were awarded to UNCP athletes Sam Dunn, Sheena Mature and Heather Jones who were among 44 fellow PBC athletes recognized.

Svensson Named To Daktronics All-Region Team
The 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Womens Soccer Teams were released Tuesday afternoon. Making the All-Southeast Region second-team as a forward was UNCP freshman Anna Svensson.

Joiner, Svensson Announced To Peach Belt All-Conference Second Team
UNCP womens soccer sent two of its players to all-Peach Belt Conference honors on Friday afternoon during a banquet held in Evans, Ga. the site of the 2009 PBC tournament. Both Britney Joiner and Anna Svensson made the PBCs second team as forwards.

The UNCP womens soccer team will travel to face second-seeded Armstrong Atlantic on Tuesday afternoon, while the mens soccer team will play later that evening at third-seeded Clayton State with the release of the mens and womens Peach Belt Conference Tournament brackets Sunday evening.

UNCP Holds Off North Georgia In Finale
The UNCP womens soccer squad walked away with a Peach Belt Conference win Saturday afternoon on the road, beating North Georgia, 3-2. UNCP put away a pair of unanswered goals in the first half to take an early lead against the Saints and snuck another one past NGCSU goalkeeper on a converted penalty kick to keep their lead despite the Saints two goals in the second half.

UNCP Breaks Losing Streak On The Road
The UNCP womens soccer team snapped its four-game losing streak on Wednesday afternoon when the Lady Braves took to the road to face Conference Carolina foe Barton. UNCP took the field as an offensive force to take home the 3-1 victory against the Bulldogs, recording 36 shots to Bartons five.

The UNCP womens soccer team faced a must-win Peach Belt Conference game on Wednesday afternoon after drawing PBC opponent Clayton State last Saturday. The Black and Gold were able to pick up that must-win when they returned to Varsity Grounds and fought hard to down USC Aiken, 2-1.
