Britney Joiner Announced to Peach Belt's Preseason All-Conference Team
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2009 women’s soccer preseason all-conference team. Eleven players were placed on the team as voted on by the league’s head coaches. UNC Pembroke had one honoree – sophomore forward Britney Joiner.
Joiner was named the 2008 PBC Freshman of the Year after scoring 11
goals with four assists and helped the Lady Braves to reach the PBC
Tournament final for the first time. Joiner was ranked fifth in the
PBC in goals.
In regards to the rest of the Peach Belt’s preseason team;
Columbus State, the four-time defending PBC Champions, and GCSU led
the team with three selections each while Armstrong Atlantic State
had two. North Georgia and conference newcomer Flagler also had one
honoree apiece.
