McDowell Represents Lady Braves At Tar Heel Invite

CHAPEL HILL – Jessica McDowell represented the Lady Braves of UNCP's track and field squad on Saturday afternoon when she competed in the 100m dash at the Tony Waldrop Tar Heel Invitational at Irwin Belk Track on UNC's Chapel Hill campus.

The Elizabethtown native registered a 12.72 showing in the 100m dash to place 11th in the event. Unfortunately for McDowell and UNCP, the time was not enough to propel her to the finals, which only accepted the top-8 finishing times of the preliminary round.

McDowell will compete again tomorrow in the 100m and 400m hurdles at the Duke Twilight Invitational in Durham. The invitational will be held in Wallace Wade Stadium on Sunday. Events will run from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., and results can be found HERE.
