Smith Invitational with a mark of 10.83m for a eighth place finish … Placed first in the Braves Classic in the shot put with a mark of 10.57m and fourth in the discus throw with a throw of 28.20m … Finished third at the in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals with a mark of 10.73m … Placed seventh in the shot put at the Charlotte Invitational with a throw of 10.76m and at the UNCW/Seahawk Invitational with a throw of 10.39m … Finished 10th in the discus throw at the UNCW/Seahawk Invitational (27.87m) and 13th at the Johnson C. HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped by coach Robert Steele and Mandy Mills while attending North Rowan HS … During her senior season with the Cavaliers was an NCHSAA Scholar Athlete and was awarded all-conference honors in the shot put, coming in as a runner-up in both the county and conference while placing third in the regional 2A Midwest … As a senior the Cavaliers were Rowan County meet champions, took first place at the Blue Devil Invitational and were named runners-up at the CCC meet, Midwest-2A meet and Wally Gilbert Indoor Invitational … As a junior was named Indoor track MVP as the team took runner-up honors home from the Wally Gilbert Indoor Invitational.

PERSONAL
The daughter of Darren and Pamela … Has two brothers, Marcus Bush and Darren Mitchell Jr. as well as two sisters, La’Kreshia Mitchell and Patricia Bush … Graduated from North Rowan High School with a grade point average of 3.2 … Was a member of the DECA Club, and marching band in addition to being the SGA Student Body President … Plans to major in Business at UNCP.
