Dorn Captures Top-10 Finish At Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH – Freshman Kendra Dorn led the UNCP women's track and field team's performances on Friday as she set a new personal best in the 5000m run for a ninth place finish in the first day of competition at Raleigh Relays.
Dorn posted a time of 18:52.78 as she finished ninth in the fifth heat, while Annette Sem placed 16th overall with a time of 19.10.04 in the race.
Senior Livia Mahaffie finished 24th overall and third in the sixth heat of the 1500m run with a time of 4:55.65 to record a new personal best. Ashlee Doughty followed in 32nd with a time of 5:01.07 for a new personal record as she was seventh in the heat.
Freshman Icess Booker competed in the 100m dash preliminaries and set a new personal best with a time of 12.40 seconds for a 32nd place finish overall.
The Lady Braves will compete again on April 7 at the Wofford College Terrier Relays.
