Lady Braves Upset By Jaguars, 3-1
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The UNCP women's
volleyball squad, coming off a 2-1 weekend at the USC Aiken Pacer
Invitational, was upset by Augusta State on Tuesday by a 3-1 final
score. Game scores for the match were 25-22, 24-26, 21-25 and

The Lady Braves (18-9, 5-5 PBC) won the first set, but a rally by
the Jaguars (10-18, 3-9 PBC) through the final three left the

the setback by Augusta State.
The Lady Braves were led on offense by junior Rebecca Morgan, who recorded a
team-high 11 kills on 48 attempts while adding seven digs and two
aces to her stat line. Senior Rachel
Young continues to hit for a high percentage after
notching a .533 attack percentage on nine kills and junior
Tiara
Anderson eclipsed the 200-kill plateau with eight in
the match, giving her 205 for the season.
Heather Bolwerk notched 39 assists for the Lady Braves
offense and added 11 digs on defense, giving the junior her fifth
double-double of the season, and freshman Marissa Baker led the Lady Braves'
defensive effort with 24 digs.
